I spent a lot of time wondering what to write for this Blog. How to encourage and inspire you to embrace a healthier lifestyle today, not in a week or a month but now today as you are reading this Blog! What can I say, what can I teach you that will ensure you make some simple changes that will really improve your life? What I want you to understand and I am not saying this in a patronising way but with real sincerity, is that when we make good choices for our health, we feel better about ourselves and the body will respond quickly and positively to these changes.
Will it be easy? Of course not because change is difficult and we resist it but the benefits are enormous and the reward will hopefully be a longer and healthier life for you all. Personally, I am not a paragon of virtue. I often have one too many glasses of wine and work hard at having my alcohol free days. I love chocolate and when I feel stressed, I eat too much because food is a comfort and the world we live in is stressful. I work hard at keeping control of my body and mind. I exercise regularly and about 80% of the time I make good choices for my health. I am motivated because of you my readers and my clients because integrity is essential to me so I have to practice what I preach! I love my body and I know it deserves to be treated with respect. It is an amazing machine and if I was lucky enough to own a Lamborghini I would not be putting three star petrol in it, think of this analogy for a moment. What are you putting in your body? Make good choices and reap the reward because I want you all to have the health and vitality you deserve.
